Fall Into Music Moments

Thank you so much for attending Fall Into Music Moments! We had so much fabulous fun listening to crunching leaves, learning new words, marching in the parade, and playing the drums. Here are some more music moments for home! Try them out, today!

Here’s our full playlist we used in class!

Today, we practiced language skills while playing with leaves! What are language skills? Language skills is an over all term for a variety of important skills for understanding language. These skills include: new vocabulary, speaking, listening, imitating, acquiring meaning through imitation and action, fluency, rhyming words, and so much more.

Don’t forget the words we used today! Leaf, Leaves, Shape, Tree, Match, Fall, Fallen, Big, Little, Small, Tall, High, Size, Tiny, Large huge, Texture, Dry, Brittle. Make sure to practice them with your children in a variety of conversations. The more you use them, the more they will know them. Follow your child’s lead! What else could you do with leaves? Try collecting some from your yard. Then, put a piece of paper over them and color them. The leaves will come up on the paper! It’s so cool!

What is Sousa’s nickname? What instrument did he play he first? When did he start his own band? How many concerts did he perform? How many marches did he perform? What instrument did he invent?
