Welcome to Early Childhood Music
Welcome Parents and Grandparents to Early Childhood Music through Music Moments. You and your child will experience the foundational concepts of music and language through fabulous fun together! Your child, ages 0 – 5 years will develop a love for others, a love for learning, and a love of music. We have three class levels developmentally appropriate for your child:
Baby Bells: Ages 0 – 18 months
Family Forte: Ages 0 – 5 years
Rhythm Rascals: Ages 3-5 years
Ages overlap because developmental stage is not necessarily connected directly to chronological age. Each semester we have a different Classical Music theme which applies to all ages. Using that theme, your child will have an age and developmentally appropriate lesson on that theme. Read through the theme and descriptions of each class and see what is best for you.

Carnival of Music Theme: Winter and Spring 2025
Let your child’s imagination soar with a lion roar! Welcome to The Carnival of Music Moments featuring Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens. Orignally written as “joke” this work has become a favorite of children and adults alike! From roaring with the lion as he marches around his kingdom, to flying with the birds, and jumping with the kangaroos, Carnival of the Animals has something for everyone! While we are having so much fun flying like birds and stomping like elephants, your child will learn about high and low. While we are roaring like lions, clucking like chickens, and roaring like a dinosaur, your child will be building his listening, language, and speech skills. When your child practices the animal sounds, he or she is practicing the building blocks of speech. In each level, we will also explore the keyboard. As we practice high and low, we will find it on the keyboard. As we walk to the rhythms of the jungle, we’ll play them on the keyboard too. Your child will LOVE the singing, dancing, and exploring of instruments and the keyboard as a foundation for loving music for a lifetime! Welcome to Carnival of Music Moments.

Babies Make Music
While your baby will not be playing the trumpet, your baby can LOVE and experience music in so many ways that peek their curiosity for sound, language, speech, reading, making friends, relaxation, and so much more. Your baby will love dancing with you, shaking a bell, playing peek-a-boo, and tickling the ivories with his or her toes! Yes, your baby will have keyboard exploration time, too! Both you and baby will make new friends and enjoy bonding together through music. Ages 0 – 14 months. 45 minutes, once a week with parents participating. Includes an instrument or puppet and online home activities.
Families Make Music
Do you have a toddler or more than one child? Then, you all will enjoy Music Moments Family Forte! Named after the word for loud in music, forte, you know your child will love dancing to the beat, exploring the keyboard, and making new friends in both loud and soft ways! Your child will practice animal sounds to build his or her speech. Your child will be emersed in a language rich environment with new vocabulary, rhyming words, and engaging stories. Plus, he or she will learn the difference between high and low, smooth and bumpy, loud and soft, and more. We’ll explore these musical opposites on the keyboard, too. Ages: 0 – 5 years. 45 minute class, once a week with parents participating. Includes an instrument or puppet and online home activities.
Preschoolers Make Music
Does your 3 year old love to move? Is he or she a little rascal? Use his or her energy in a positive way while helping him or her love music for a lifetime! Your preschooler will be marching to the beat, walking to the rhythms, listening for high and low, exploring the keyboard, and playing instruments to musical stories. While he or she is having so much fabulous fun, he or she will be learning to identify rhyming words, play to the beat, play rhythms on the keyboard, and make new friends. Playing on the beat will prepare your preschooler for reading the beat in our pre-piano class, Melody Makers. Ages: 3-5 years. 45 minutes, once a week. Parents participate for the last 15 minutes of class. Includes an instrument or puppet and online home activities.
