Welcome Parents, Grandparents, and Friends to Music Moments. I am Mrs. Bonnie Williams. I have been teaching music for 25 years. It is my passion. Let me tell you why.
When I was born, I was born with a club foot. I screamed for the first 45 minutes of my life. As soon as they put me in my Daddy’s arms, I stopped. My Dad sang to me through all my pain and surgeries. Not just when I was little, but even after I had a baby of my own!
Growing up I was in church and school music choirs, and piano lessons. My dad promised his children lessons if we wanted to learn. I went on to get my Bachelor’s of Music Education in piano and voice from Brewton-Parker College. I taught in public school for 3 years and then I branched out to teach on my own.
I became a certified Kindermusik instructor. I taught that program for 20 years. I enjoyed seeing parents and children grow in music together.
In 2011 I earned my Master’s degree in Ethnomusicology from Liberty University. During that time I visited India 3 times working on my master’s thesis.
Now, I am married to Nathan Williams and we have our daughter, Abbie who is 4 years old. She’s been learning music since the womb. We sing to her every night before bed and she loves learning our adult choir music in the car as we drive around.
Currently, I write my own Early Childhood Music curriculum, teach piano and voice, lead the preschool choir at my church, sing in the adult choir at my church, and love on my family, friends, and students.
Welcome to Music Moments and please contact me with any questions you have! I would love to give you and your child a love for music, too!
